ATRO Medical originates as a spin-off from Radboud University Medical Center and DSM, and is based in Nijmegen and Oss. The company develops the Trammpolin® meniscus, an anatomically shaped polymer meniscus prosthesis to replace the damaged meniscus of patients.

With the Trammpolin it is aimed of restoring the protective function of the meniscus by acting as a joint spacer. It is poised to relieve pain and restore knee mobility.
